More pictures..and answers to questions.

Here is a picture from Monday of Sara taking a nap in the crib.
On Monday after getting the kids, we all had to go to a conference room to complete adoption paperwork that would be needed for Tuesday to finalize everything.  Here are Sara and I with our guide Yisha, as she puts Sara's footprint in red ink on the paper.
Here is a picture of Sara after her first bath on Monday night.  She was not as happy in the bath as she is in this picture.
Here is Sara on Tuesday morning at her first breakfast.  I thin that she is trying a banana chip.  She is not a fan of eating all of the foods that Ava was on out trip in 2006.  Sara will basically only eat all of the traditional Chinese foods.  She loves Congee which is a boiled rice "soup".  She likes noodles and steamed buns.  She likes steamed eggs which are scrambled typed eggs that are put in a shallow bowl and then steamed..sort of liked poached eggs, but scrambled.  Then soy sauce goes on them.  I don't know what she will eat when we come home!!
Here is Sara walking along with daddy as we wait in the lobby to go finalize the adoption and go to the notary.  She cannot walk or crawl.  She can pull her self up and stand, put weight on her legs, and walk a long if you are holding her hands.
Sorry.. can not rotate.  We have a thumb sucker!  When she is tired she sucks her thumb and rubs her belly.
This picture is of her sleeping today (Wednesday) on the ride to Puyang to apply for her passport in the county she is from.  It turned out to be a 3 hour drive.  Today a lot of questions got answers.  Te nanny from the orphanage that we saw the last 2 days, met us at the office to help with paperwork.  After that was done, they took us to Sara's finding spot that is in the picture below.  Then the ladies from the orphanage wanted to take us to lunch.  we really wanted to just drive back, but we went.  We had our own room at teh restaurant.  It was the 2 ladies from Puyang, our guide Rita and the van driver and Eric and I and Jordan and Eve with the 2 kids.
We got to the restaurant, got our own room which was very warm and then Sara started with a fit.  It was so hot in the room and all the waitresses started coming out to try to help.  It totally stressed me out, but we survived.  But, the BEST part was that we found out some information about Sara that explains a lot of her behavior.  She was not just in the hospital....but with someone she called "grandma" from March 2011 until her surgery in Aug 2011.  THis women then visited her everyday and then Sara went back to stay with her until we got her on Monday.  So she is grieving for this woman.  She was also out side ALOT, which explains why she HATES the room and is constantly telling us "outside" in Chinese.  She was also very spoiled and we think that this woman did everything for her.  So, that is the scoop on that!
Before lunch, the ladies took us to where Sara was found.  In the spot where that backhoe is, there used to be a Police Kiosk.  It has since been torn down and this back hoe was in the spot where it was.  It was an extremely busy corner.  Eric will post a video soon.  Tomorrow we are thankful to have a free day!!!  and one on Friday too!!

She's so precious, and those smiles are just a glimpse of the sweet, loving girl inside there ... even if they are brief. We had a very similar situation with Abby and she was only 11 mos old. She wanted nothing to do with me in China, and for some time after we returned home. They just go through SO much, but they are so resilient. Keep doing what you are doing and she will see and feel your love and melt away the fears and tears. Hugs!!
