Just a thought....

As we get closer to our departure date for China, so many thoughts, emotions and questions come to my mind.  One thing that I have recently thought about is this....

Since the beginning of this adoption process in June 2011, we have been asked many questions.  One question that sticks out in my mind is when people ask what Sara's "special need" is since we are adopting her through China's Waiting Child Program vs. the traditional Non-Special Needs program that we adopted Ava.  When some have found out that we chose to adopt a child with a particular medical condition, we get all sorts of responses from "wow, that is great", to "I just don't think I could do that".

Well let me just say, that Sara's "special need" is no different than any of the other 143 million orphans, or any child for that matter...her need is that she just NEEDS a FAMILY...and that is what we are giving her....and we are excited!!  Are we scared...YES, but God will continue to care for and bless our family.  And in that, I find great comfort.
It is a "need" that many can meet....if we are only open to do what God has called us to do.

In 3 short weeks from today, we will be arriving back from China...these cute little toes will be running around our home!!!!
